Why Thela Tales?
Unlike many restaurant and cafe focused apps, Thela Tales helps users explore the authentic Indian street food scene. It isn't an ordinary food ordering app as street food is meant to be savored on out in the streets!
The Family Explorers
Zoey and Michael are a married couple traveling to India with their two children, Lily and Ben. They are excited to immerse themselves in the culture and cuisine. However, they are not familiar with Indian food and anxious about falling sick during the trip.
We don't speak the local language and that would make it difficult to ask questions about ingredients or spice levels and order the dish we want to eat.
We are concerned about hygiene and food safety, especially traveling with the kids. News stories about street food-borne illnesses add to our anxiety.
Standing at the street food stall, we would feel overwhelmed by the number of unfamiliar dishes. We are unsure what to try and worried about making the wrong choice and ending up with something the kids won't eat.

Pain Points
I am absolutely terrified of falling sick after eating street food after hearing disturbing stories from friends and reading the news. I want to be able to eat delicious food at safe and hygienic street food stalls.
I am unfamiliar with Indian cuisine dishes and coming from a different background I face difficulty in communicating with the vendors as I do not know the language.
I struggle to find street food stalls on search engines or maps as many of them are not listed or haven't registered. This leads to me relying on word of mouth, social media and/or random hit and misses.
