Introduction

The data visualisation covers a six-week timeframe, showcasing how being miles apart from my baby provided an opportunity for me to prioritise my well-being, allowing me to focus on aspects of self-care and personal development that I wouldn't typically have time for.

The story unfolds with a 6 week view, 3 week per page. It can be filtered according to at a glance view i.e. comparison between good and bad days for months from January to March. It shows how self care activities done during a day to keep myself busy, help maintain a positive mindset while also highlighting fluctuating emotions and number of calls made to my mom to see my baby.

  • Being away from my baby has given me an opportunity to rediscover and prioritize my own needs, which often takes a backseat in the whirlwind of motherhood.

 

  • Through intentional activities such as regular exercise, mindfulness techniques, fostering social connections and more, I not only enhance my own mental and emotional resilience but also aim to set a positive example for other working moms navigating similar balancing acts.

My Mom Call Story

Seeing my baby through video calls has been a lifeline for me while I'm away. Watching her smile and interact, even from a distance, brings me immense joy and comfort. It's like a little piece of home wherever I am. These virtual moments not only lift my spirits but also help me cope with the challenges of being apart. In the midst of separation, video calls become a powerful tool for connection and emotional well-being, bridging the physical distance with love.
